The Last Story and RPGs Empty The Last Story and RPGs

Anyone played The Last Story on the Wii? Thoughts? I'm borrowing it from my library (yes, my library has Wii games!!) although since it's a "Most Wanted" I only get it for 3 days instead of 7. So far I really really like it. I like RPGs and I might buy it for myself for Christmas ( Very Happy ) or I could keep borrowing it for 3 days from the library.

Other RPGs that I've played:

Dragon Quest - NES
Final Fantasy - NES
Final Fantasy II - SNES
Gailardia - Android App Game - game style was similar to Dragon Quest, but I got bored and never finished it
Symphany of Eternity - Android App Game

I have not bought or played it, but I noticed that Final Fantasy III is available as an app game, but it's $15.99.

What are your favorite RPGs?

I played Dragon Quest/Warrior and Final Fantasy pretty much when they first came out on the NES. Yep, I'm old.

I suppose you could call it one, but only very loosely. Usually in an RPG you level up your character and get him/her new gear( more then a couple shields and swords). In LOZ you don't really do that

It depends on your definition of RPG. LoZ is technically an RPG, because you make decisions that can slightly alter the course of the game. Most peoples' definition of RPG, however, should just be called "(semi-)turn based combat," examples being Pokémon, Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger.

It'd be better to describe LoZ as an adventure game, though, since you can't really alter its story much.

Yes, I have played the first Zenonia and it is a Zelda type game. I would not characterize Zelda as a RPG. According to the almighty Wikipedia:

Though the games contain many role-playing elements (Zelda II was also the only one to include an experience system), they emphasise straightforward hack and slash-style combat over the strategic, turn-based or active time combat of games like Final Fantasy. The game's role-playing elements, however, have led to much debate over whether or not the Zelda games should be classified as action role-playing games, a genre on which the series had a strong influence
