Hello Aurorians!

With haven covered in snow and the arrival of the "most wonderful time of the year~", it is time to take out our oversized santa hats and go Christmas caroling!

Event will be the same time as always: Saturday 9 PM CST / 10 PM EST / 7 PM PST

Here are the details of what we will be doing:
- Everyone will be dressed in guild uniform (jelly mail) and a Christmas hat of your choosing. (If you do not have jelly mail, we encourage you to get one asap as this is our guild uniform. It is very cheap on the AH or you can most likely find one in the guild treasury)

- On the day of the event, we will all meet at the GH
- Line up in a straight line and number off, make sure to remember your number and the person in front of you
- There will be a post here with each number and a corresponding line
- Once we number off and you have your number, look through that post to find your line and copy it
- We will be practicing in the GH before moving to the havens
- On moving to havens, you will be told to join a designated person. Once you join that person, you will then run to the area in front of the AH and fall in line.

1 Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer
2 had a very shiny nose
3 And if you ever saw him,
4 you would even say it glows.

5 All of the other reindeer
6 used to laugh and call him names.
7 They never let poor Rudolph
8 join in any reindeer games.

9 Then one foggy Christmas Eve
10 Santa came to say:
11 "Rudolph with your nose so bright,
12 won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

13 Then all the reindeer loved him
14 as they shouted out with glee,
15 Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer,
16 you'll go down in history!

As for the songs, according to this thread: https://aurorask.forumotion.com/t234-christmas-carol-suggestions
we will be doing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. Depending on how well-coordinated we are, we might have multiple songs prepared and alternate songs between each haven.

I'll take this opportunity to remind everyone that we do have Mumble. It really is a very easy, hassle-free way of voice chat. And having everyone on voicechat while caroling will more than double the fun (Who knows? Maybe someone will actually start singing for us Wink

Setting up Mumble will only take a few minutes: https://aurorask.forumotion.com/t209-voice-chat

So get your caroling costume ready and show up Saturday night with your best singing voice!!

(We will also be doing boss runs after - either FSC for the guild fund or Snarby for the tokens to make our Snarby statue!)

Sad WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! After loosing 98% of my body weight in tears, I finally realise what I was going to say.
I got my timezones muddled and thourght guild events were 9PM GMT but they are actually 9PM EST (I think) . This means I would have to stay up to 2 AM Sad this is probably the same with everyone else in the UK and we will never to be able to go to a guild event. *sob* so this may be very very very very far fetched but could we possibly maybe perhaps, if possible possibly change the time of the guild events to a more suitable time for everybody?

Awww you're right Ander. It's actually 10 PM EST but I doubt that'll make a difference XD

We have tried before to find a time that fits everyone but it borders on impossibility (since we have people from all over the world). That being said, I've been noticing that we are quite active around the US afternoon time (so about 5-4 hours before our normal event - around 10-11 PM your time). If we can get the US people to get on during the afternoon and Europe/Asia people to get on a bit late at night, it might work =)

Also, don't worry since our Christmas event will consists of mini-events throughout the day. So everyone will be able to participate =D

I would greatly appreciate that, I had to go to bed at 5 AM because of the event. But hey, it was fun!
I also took a lot of screenshots for our viewing pleasure.

That is one HUGE oddish.

On a more relevant note, not sure when we're doing a caroling-type event again, but this is what we're doing over this weekend.

For some reason I thought it was the 15th on friday. My bad. Haha. All these events sound really fun, I just feel like I'd be terrible at it though. I'll try to tag along though(:

And yes, it's a giant oddish that James made me. Haha.

Oh and not sure who to tell this to, but the forum's labeling me as a recruit. xD Can someone change that?
