SKGCL event
Thanks to Fropps, i got to know about this massive guild event and decided to make a post about it. Here is the link for those of u who haven't heard of its rules yet.
I was very sad to get to know that some of the most active guildmates don't show interest in participating, since i thought Aurora is one of the strongest guilds in both LD and BN.
However, i would still like to hear others' opinion of whether we could gather a full team in at least one discipline, or not. I think that this event is a nice chance to once again defend the honour of our guild and just to have some fun playing with old friends from others'.

Re: SKGCL event
As neat as the idea sounds, several things turn me off about it:
SK really wasn't designed by OOO to be a competitive game, so it's kinda difficult to get around these issues. I could talk it over with the other GMs and officers, but realize that people in competitive guilds are disgustingly greedy by nature, so they will cheat if they can get away with it.
- extremely disorganized, as indicated by the paragraphless textwall right at the start.
- intrusive, unenforceable rule #1: there's no way to determine who is and isn't a "sub"(minus the big names, but not everyone who's good is a big name).
- intrusive, unenforceable rule #5: a member might leave the guild to spy; while I trust you guys not to do this, but I guarantee that at least one other guild will.
- intrusive, unenforceable rule #6: referees would almost have to be one for every player, and must constantly be paying unwavering attention to them; even if they took the "screenshot mist before-and-after the match" approach to that, photoshopping really isn't hard.
- who are the hosts? I've never heard of Jediel, so I can't say that I'd trust this to not flunk.
- we also need six LD players that are not only willing to be on at a specific time, but willing to play "competitively." Same goes for four BN players - they need to all be on at once.

If we (somehow) had the people to play, I would; that said, bear in mind these lockdown tourneys have a habit of devolving into he-said-she-said accusations of cheating, name-calling, and scheduling delays. Given that most of our active PvPers have been around long enough to see a few of these kind of events go by, it's understandable that they'd be a bit uninterested.

Lol yeah, LD, esp GvG, can be kinda sometimes bring out the more negative side in people (Alp has alot of complaints about LD as you can probably tell XD) but truth is those aren't really the reasons why we don't play as a guild, the reason is simply within ourselves.
To actually answer your question, we don't have enough LD players. Maybe 1 or 2 that plays LD religiously, the rest plays once in a while with gear and skill they would refuse to enter a tourny in - they wouldn't call themselves a "LD player", just play once in a while. In fact, if we had a very solid team of 6, we could probably enter regardless of the nature of LD. We're a bit better in the BN department. And you're free to try organize something in BN if you would like.
Bottom line is that Aurora is a PvE guild, and in a sense we have worked to keep it that way in order to ensure we have a positive, constant, and lasting community. We have attracted the wonderful members we have today precisely because of this image. But as a result of this we really don't have many players who call themselves "LD players"
But don't let that stop you, if a friend from a guild asks you to sub for them, go ahead! We'll be cheering on Aurora members no matter where they are. And make sure to come back! XD
