SK ANNIVERSARY
So it turns out that they're adding more than just dust bunnies, and given the timing, it's probably for SK's anniversary - April 4th. My best guess is there will be one of each type of enemy, but here's what's been revealed so far:
Beast - Dust Bunnies(first revealed 3/6, extra screens 3/14)
Beast - Dust Bunnies(first revealed 3/6, extra screens 3/14)
- Spoiler:
- Spoiler:
- Dust bunnies may look cute, but they can be somewhat territorial.
Taunting the dust bunnies is not recommended.
Poking dust bunnies with sticks may provoke aggressive behavior.
If you encounter dust bunnies, make sure you have an escape route. Do not get cornered.
As a safety precaution, stay downwind of dust bunnies.
Please keep arms, legs, and head inside your armor at all times.
I'm thinking they're going to be a beast-type enemy(weak to piercing, resistant to elemental) whose attack pattern is going to be generally the same as the wolvers', though quicker. The screenshots suggest that the general Clockworks Tunnels levels are receiving a new "building block" that is basically a small fraction of a wolver den, as none of the screenshots appear to actually be in a wolver den.
Going out on a limb and hoping that they'll be unique enemies, the text might imply that toothpicks may cause them or their allies to "enrage"(#3) or that they may be able to turn very quickly(#5). #4 probably is just a warning that you can't shieldbump enemies through other enemies, so two layers of dust bunnies around you is something you will be unable to escape.

- Spoiler:
- You know how you see a bug skittering along the floor out of the corner of your eye? Try a Grave Scarab...
- Spoiler:
- Glop Drops - Squishy and spikey all at the same time!
Given their appearance, they are probably capable of doing what Shankles do - becoming a temporarily invulnerable "floor hazard" - only they will probably attack you directly as well.

Re: SK ANNIVERSARY
Sweet! we're finally getting some new original enemies up in here. Hope to see how it'll work out when it's released, and hopefully we'll be able to get some gear based off of these dust bunnies :3.

While you might be able to do that, they'll probably claim the hat for themselves. Forever. Thanks to your merciless permanent glue. ;-;The people who claim to be at work on Spiral Knights wrote:Dust bunnies may look cute, but they can be somewhat territorial.
Re: SK ANNIVERSARY
who said Gibby wouldn't glue the hat to her head as well as glue the thing to the hat?
Re: SK ANNIVERSARY
One of Read's ninjas might fail to notice that, and remove her head when attempting to remove the hat.MushyMushy wrote:who said Gibby wouldn't glue the hat to her head as well as glue the thing to the hat?
Superglue is not something to play with, kids.
Re: SK ANNIVERSARY
I know! Lets glue one to Alp. That should provide us with a few minutes entertainment.

Until it slowly devours him from top to bottom. Then we'll just have a really big mess.Gibberishly wrote:I know! Lets glue one to Alp. That should provide us with a few minutes entertainment.
Re: SK ANNIVERSARY
You could always glue its mouth shut for even more time of Alp trying to get it off his head. Until it breaks the glue of course
Re: SK ANNIVERSARY
Yes, I suppose. But when you try to do that you'll discover that they rage when poked....MushyMushy wrote:You could always glue its mouth shut for even more time of Alp trying to get it off his head. Until it breaks the glue of course

Yea, scattered dustbun corpse is not fun to clean up, let alone to look at. I wouldn't do that if I were you.Det-the-EpicVentur wrote:Until it slowly devours him from top to bottom. Neither I, nor any ninjas in my current employment would ever hurt Gibber
As for the dust bunnies, we'll likely be needing new weapons. My guns probably won't be very effective -- maybe a Schticky?

On a more serious note, would they even ship on time for the dust bunny update?

Well, this is OOO we're talking about -- it could be shipped via Royal Jelly Express and still make it before an update hits

Baw. Time to pull out those two swing swords for some crowd control action. I have a feeling Wolver Dens just became a lot harder.

If you look closely at the screenshots, they aren't wolver dens.Agu-San wrote:Baw. Time to pull out those two swing swords for some crowd control action. I have a feeling Wolver Dens just became a lot harder.
Also, updated the original post for the two new enemies that've been revealed. Looks like it's going to be for the SK anniversary.
Update pls?
Its like a longer and longer drought with each update sheesh.

I've just had an epiphany! The dust bunnies will be released on Easter! That way we can egg each other on to survive! Hyakhyakhyakhyakhyakhyakhyak

Re: SK ANNIVERSARY
Possibly related to the anniversary is this hideous reconstruction of the UI, its only new features being enemy health bars and the shield bar:
