College senior here.

Major in Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources

For lecture-based classes I prefer to take notes on my laptop via Microsoft OneNote. I can type much, much faster than I can write, it's easier to go back and revise portions of my notes if a professor has a review section or refers back to previous lectures, and overall it just ends up being much neater and easier to read than if I wrote everything by hand.

I do still take notes the old-fashioned way whenever I have classes which involve work in the field, but if it's a significant amount of information, I usually digitize it in OneNote afterward.
