Sit In The Chairs Club

The name of this club is coined by MushyMushy. The directive of it is simple, get together every saturday or second saturday. Convene in the guild hall and everyone sits at the long table, discusses Armchair philosophy with their 6 pack of gingerale or mead. The goal here, get to know each other a bit better whilest sitting at a sweet guild hall long table , any interest or comments?

I think its a good idea but I dont think alot of people while show up including you have timezones to worry about.

organizing is definitely always difficult but perhaps bare minimum the forum dwellers like us can get together with relative ease

That's not a bad idea to get a few guildies together and getting to know them better! Then again, Iwe have Guild Chat to make up for that socializing fervor. BUT THEN AGAIN, this would also make a good opportunity to take a break from runs, Lockdown, and such, and have a good and proper chat with your fellow guildmates up close, because god knows I know a few people who love to chat in this game XD. All in all, I think it's an interesting idea,and i'd like to see how it'd work, if we have enough guildies online who are willing to take their time to cool down and mingle.

These types of gatherings are also better than /g chat to discuss divisive issues (politics, best games, your favorite guild master, etc.) or to just relax and have a good time while keeping the public chat clear

What if people don't have a mic/headset or don't like to talk via mic/headset? Are we just going to leave them out?

Apart from a hollow threat to kill them in their sleep if they don't get on, there's not much else we can do.

I'll go further to add that we're not expecting everyone to talk - it never happens - we just expect everyone to load Mumble and be able to hear what's going on. For their own benefit, of course, I would recommend that they do talk.
