Event Suggestions!
I don't know if you guys have a system set up for these event things, but I thought it might be a good idea to have a topic where guild members could suggest different ideas!
So, to start things off, one from my end:
The Lumber Challenge!
If you've browsed the forums now and then, this might be a familiar topic. The idea is to bring four (five, apparently, is possible) Lumbers which appear on the second floor of RJP all the way to the elevator.
I'm thinking that this would not be primarily a speed run like some of the other events we've had. Instead, teams (probably 3 or 4) would be ranked depending on how many Lumbers they successfully transport to the end. Speed can still count for teams which end up with the same number of Lumbers.
Verification is a bit tricky since it can't be done through the event hub, someone might have to join the team at the end of the level to confirm. I think victory can be reported once the final room is finished, along with a final Trojan count (and teams should note not to kill them until verification).

Re: Event Suggestions!
I've always wanted to try the Lumber Challenge. Looks super fun.
Few ideas myself, most would require the honor system for people to follow the rules though.
-Speed run though a Boss lair shield-less. See how good you are at dodging
-Race to finish a certain mission, such as the Rise and Fall arena mission.
-Swords vs. Guns vs. Bombs
Split into 3 teams (or depending on number of people joining, more). The catch is that each team can only use one type of weapon. Swords team could only swords, bombs team only use bombs, ect. Then speed run through something (boss/mission/ect). People would join teams based on what gear they had. Winners get to brag about how much better swords/guns/bombs are than any other weapon.
-Fun with Bombs!
Since I'm guessing that bombs are the least popular and need some love, run something using bombs only! In order to make it fair to those who don't have bombs currently we could restrict the bombs that can be used as only the 1* bombs you get from the early mission rewards (cold snap, firecracker or proto). Then run any t1 arcade gate from floor 0 to the first basil (3 floors).
Or make the restriction that only 2* or below bombs could be used. Most of the 2* bombs only cost 1-2k on the Auction House so it wouldn't be that expensive to join it. I'd also be able to donate a few 2* bombs left over from rage crafting.
First one to make it to Basil using only bombs, wins!

More good ones, thanks! Bombs only or shieldless run sounds cool -- but for swords vs. bombs vs. guns, we all know the gunner team would dominate

These ideas do sound cool, but in swords vs. bombs vs. guns, bombs would really never have a chance, since bombs aren't exactly intended for damage, just for support. I think bombs-only would be a blast, though.
YUSH!
Yeahhh =D
Thanks alot Kupoo for setting this up!
I am aware of the lumber challenge but one problem is that it is only feasible for veterans (know JK well enough, have good gear to withstand at least 1 smash, and etc.) and the problem is that our population is soo varied XD. We had to rule out Vana speedrun due to gear/tier/experience differences. But this is definitely something to consider for the future! Or vets-only events? XD haha
I really like the idea of swords vs. guns. bombs! I know we have some gunners in the guild and personally I really want to whip Read's butt (esp with my ctr vh and asi max brandishes =3). So we could definitely do that! Another possibility would be to run with only weapons of your color (so for example, I would be considered green so I could only run with a Dread Venom Striker, etc). Or promote finishing arcade gates / random missions to add some variability to the boring old JK / Vana runs!
And that brings up the idea of guild events not only as a competition but maybe something that we can all participate in for fun.

Re: Event Suggestions!
If we get the teams balanced properly it might work out. Or what about teams of 3 with each using only one weapon type? And yeah Val, sorry if I made ya feel threatened -- it's not easy being green!

Color thing sounds fun! Hmm purple... Sentenza... lets run something slime infested *lol*
For non-run like things, Simon Says in the guild hall? Or if/when the guild updates happen... musical chairs?
I'll be away this weekend so try not to have too much fun without me

OMG FLASH MOB!!!
We are sooo doing this!
Basically, we all get in guild uniform (jelly mail and emberbreak helm) and just mob a haven! We will randomly run around haven until someone says "Stop" in guild chat, by then we will all freeze. When "Go" is said again, we will resume moving around. LOL that would be such a good troll! XD
Here's a gist of wat it's kinda like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwMj3PJDxuo
WE ARE SOOO DOING THIS FOR A GUILD EVENT SOMEDAY!

Boss runs with opposite gear!
I propose a boss run challenge using the exact opposite gear required. Example: using only piercing weapons and piercing defense in JK or twins. Or using elemental only weapons/defense in a snarby run. For the most fun-shadow weapons only in an fsc run!!! Lets see who really has the patience to complete something like that!

How long did it take you? Must have been forever trying to kill everything with proto!
Love the mob-haven thing. Must do that sometime, and someone should record it.
Thought of another idea today, but it kinda needs to be surprised, so I'll pm the suggestion to someone.

Saboteur
Here's another one~
In the Clockworks, we want a well-organized team of knights in order to face the dangers of Cradle and proceed forward into its depths. But what if we were to bring together a group of individuals intent on claiming singular, personal glory? Knights who are after some shiny reward spoils all for themselves?
The objective of this game/event is to face a tier of the Clockworks with a party of four Aurorians, and to finish as the last Spiral Knight standing. Instead of cooperating with your teammates, in this run, you're out to sabotage their dreams of making it to the next subtown! Bring out those Nitronomes, the Polarises, and bouncy shields to draw everyone else to their graves!
***
For this to be fair, we'll have to group participants into teams which are relatively uniform in skill/equipment. This could be done either by tier separation, or imposing an armor quality (possibly weapons as well, though to a somewhat lesser degree) limit. Since there will be multiple groups, we might want to have primary rounds, and then a final where the winners of the primary rounds go at it with the other victors.
When a participant gets knocked out, he/she is considered to have lost for that round. However, rather than returning to Haven, other Knights still in the running have the choice of reviving them. In exchange for a sum of health, the resurrected team member then teams up with whoever revived him/her until knocked out again (if it happens). On a second KO, a different Knight may step forth to claim the downed Knight's loyalty instead.
This keeps going until only one player is left who hasn't been knocked out yet, who is subsequently declared the winner!

I approve ten-thousand-fold.
The "choice of revving rule," however, makes very little sense, unless you means knights that were not in the same group? If I'm trying to be the last knight standing, I wouldn't want to revive someone I just pushed into the fire.

Nonsense! That suggestion comes from experience! My old guild attempted it. We got pretty close too. The key is to not pick an elevator with Vana or JK. lol

You're right, I suppose "last knight standing" isn't entirely accurate - more like last knight who hasn't fallen. I tossed the idea in at the last minute, thinking that rather than having downed players just leave, they can still join in on the fun and mess with whoever's left. The idea is that players still in the running have a choice between risking a portion of their own health to have an assisting ally - especially useful for those already at risk of being KO-ed with the next hit - or holding on to what they have. Participants who are revived don't actually qualify for winning in the particular group.
That may or may not work out depending on what strategies actually work well. Something like a Nitronome can mess everyone up, but shield bumping/Polaris-ing a Lumber to smash an opponent is more targeted.

Re: Event Suggestions!
Noted!!! Man I wish there was an option to spectate people in clockworks now too. The revive-to-get-loyalty might get a bit confusing but just the last-man-standing thing is a great troll idea =)
Problem is that not only do we have to get people with similar skills, gear and experience. They would also have to be relatively comfortable and familiar with each other but we can work this out!
Annnddd to piggyback off of that! We could do a LD game where certain gear are banned (skolver, polaris, toothpick, GF, DA, hammer) and everyone can only bring 1 troll weapon of their choice to kill each other. Or we can all play 1 class - imagine spectating 12 recons XD Oh man there's so many ways we can do this!

Ah, I see now. So you actually have to trust the person you revive to not kill you, intentionally or accidentally. Still seems a little weird, but I see where you're coming from - it does seem a little harsh to have downed players just leave like that. We'll definitely have to consider this.
